Sundance Review: Take Shelter

This movie is one to watch. If it doesn't get heaps and heaps of praise then there is no God. In the US Dramatic Competition, it's in a league of its own. Michael Shannon's Oscar worthy performance is one I'll not soon forget. Jessica Chastain brings a warmth and kindness to this film that is equally as impressive. The cinematography is perfect to set the tone for this commentary on relationships and the strength of love. The director was charming and was a genuine down-to-earth kinda guy. If I were on the jury this would be my pic to win the Jury Prize. (5 out of 5)

P.S. Michael Shannon reminded me a little of Daniel Day Lewis in "There Will Be Blood" and the themes and several scenes reminded me of last year's hit "Inception".
